A La Carte: Freddy’s West-side Location
Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers gave a big gift by launching a different branch on Election Day on the east side or west.
The Wichita, Kansas-based burger chain is popular for its thinly pressed steakburgers, shoestring fries, and frozen custard. Now, it has opened its second Springfield branch at 3784 Wabash Ave. They opened it on Tuesday.
The district manager, Mike Copsy, said that the fans of the 3205 Clear Lake Ave. branch have noticed two small changes. The first is a better Freddy’s floor plan, and the other is a change drink option.
Copsy said the building of the Clear Lake branch is not of Freddy’s style. Moreover, in this branch, SoBe vitamin water is replaced with raspberry tea. He also added they have also changed the appearance of SoBea Vitamin Water.
This is the 3rd Freddy’s franchise that is owned by Jerry and Carol Myerscough. There is also news of two additional stores that are planned for central Illinois. This news is circulating from the side of family members. But there is no statement given by the branches or any other timelines.
Moreover, the family is also managing eight Arby’s in this specific region with the name Charleston Food Inc.
Both of the brothers, Bill and Randy Simon, along with their business partner Scott Redler, launched the first Freddy’s branch in Wichita in 2002. As we know, the name of the business is in memory of their father, who was a veteran of World War II. Freddy Simon had a huge impact on Americans’ meals because he prepared similar food for his family.
